PocketAnthem
One sentence or a photo, and PocketAnthem turns it into a song, generated on your device.
Melody, chords, vocals and accompaniment: PocketAnthem writes the score, sings it and plays it on your iPhone, iPad or Mac. No server, no account. The app runs on the YuE2 model, which I ported to Swift for Apple silicon.

What the app does
- Describe it, or show it
- Write what you have in mind, or take a photo: the place, the light and the mood become the song’s subject, and the photo its cover. One-tap presets: French chanson, piano ballad, summer pop, night rap, garage rock, dreamy electro, folk, jazz lounge, kids song.
- You stay in charge
- Apple Intelligence proposes a title, a style, a key, a tempo and lyrics in sections, in ten languages. You edit everything before anything starts. Pro mode takes your own lyrics.
- Listen and read
- The song plays with its waveform. The score shows as notation or guitar tablature, the cursor follows playback, export to PDF or ABC.
- Longer, without starting over
- Song cut too early? One tap makes a longer version: same melody, same performance, continuing where it stopped.
- Follow the generation
- Four readable stages, plan, semantics, synthesis, decoding, each with its progress, also on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. Expect 4 to 5 minutes for 30 seconds of music on an iPhone 15 Pro Max.
- Everything stays with you
- The models ship inside the app, which works offline right after install. Every export carries a machine-readable marker saying it was made with AI.
Requirements
- iPhone 15 Pro or later, iPad with M1 or later, or a Mac with Apple silicon.
- About 3.5 GB of free space.
- Apple Intelligence for proposals and cover art; without it, songs are written by hand.
PocketAnthem embeds the YuE2 models by Multimodal Art Projection, licensed CC BY-NC 4.0 with an individual creator permission: personal users and musicians may publish and monetize the songs they make; companies need a licence from the model authors.
